One of my favorite things at the end of the summer is Brian's mom's Grape Harvest Party. Jerry makes sure the grapes are ready to be picked using the refractometer and if they are...voila!...they have a party! The kids take their own scissors and spend the evening picking and cutting grapes off the vines along with the grown ups. Then they take turns turning the crank on the crusher. When the work is finished Carol treats everyone to a yummy dinner outside under the twinkle lights. It is really fun and the wine from these grapes is award winning!!!
