3rd, 1st and Pee Wee

First day of school, fall 2011.  We have a third grader in Mrs. Everist's class, a first grader in Mrs. Robinson's class and a Pee Wee with Ms. Evangela and Ms. Helen!  

 Dad delivered Thomas and Lauren to their classrooms on the first day while I headed to the pre-k room with Connor.

 So excited to be at school with his big brother and sister!

 Connor liked the giant abacus in the Pee Wee room!  After saying a sweet goodbye to Ro, he was off and playing again.

Sports, Sports and More Sports!

We had a sports filled summer! Here's a look back at the action.  Connor had basketball and soccer lessons. Lauren and Thomas participated in two sessions of tennis and swim team.  Claire and Ronan tagged along and enjoyed their current sport of choice...running away from ME!

TORTELLINI AND OTHER CREATURES

Our beloved turtle, Tortellini returned again at the end of the summer.  The kids and I are always delighted to see this little guy.  Lauren got a little too friendly with him this year and he bit her finger instead of a grape she was trying to feed him.  Live and learn.

 I can't believe these are MY kids touching the creepy crawlies!  I guess I am glad that I have not handed down my absolute loathing of  these types of creatures...except for the birds, I like the pretty birds!

Bishop's Lodge, Santa Fe, NM

A change of scenery did us good late in the summer.   We headed just an hour north to Bishop's Lodge in Santa Fe for a little R and R....well,who am I kidding?    It was just a change of scenery, but lots of fun just the same. 

The kids were very in to the whole "wild west" thing they had going on here.  After horseback riding and swimming we played some board games back in the condo.  We played tennis also, but it was such a chaotic disaster none of it was captured on film.
